Emergency Post General Practitioners Gelders Rivierenland offers emergency care during evening, night and weekend hours and on public holidays. Patients who urgently need a GP can come to us. Together with a passionate team of general practitioners, triage nurses and drivers, we ensure that the approximately 185,000 patients from our region receive the emergency care they need.

To expand our team, we are looking for an enthusiastic:

DOCTOR’s ASSISTANT for the position of DESK CLERK

The position of desk clerk at the Emergency Post for General Practitioners is a varied job. You are the first point of contact for patients who report to the GP post. You are responsible for the correct handling of the administrative data. It is important that you have an eye for the patient’s condition upon arrival and in the waiting room. You will lend a hand and effectively support the triage nurses and general practitioners so that they can perform their duties as adequately as possible, in short, you will be part of the dynamic team with general practitioners, triage nurses and drivers. This allows the patient to be provided with the necessary (medical) care as quickly and adequately as possible.

This is you:

  • You are in possession of a recognized doctor’s assistant diploma or in the final phase of training for the doctor’s assistant diploma. If you have another recognized MBO diploma in healthcare at MBO level 4, or if you are a medical student, we also invite you to apply.
  • You have good social and communication skills and can empathize with patients.
  • You have a positive attitude, are friendly and reliable.
  • You can deal with changing situations and have problem-solving skills.
  • You possess good computer skills and typing skills.
  • Working during the evening hours fits into your life.
  • We ask you to be available for at least 4, 6 or 8 hours per week.

  • Salary and employment conditions in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for General Practitioner Care. You will receive an attractive irregularity allowance of 30% – 60% per hour. On public holidays, you will receive extra compensation that you can use as holiday hours or have paid out. In addition, you will receive an end-of-year bonus of 8.33% and a holiday allowance of 8%.
