  1. For care that can’t wait<\/strong>
    The Emergency Post for General Practitioners is there for urgent GP care that cannot wait until the consultation hour of your own GP. The Emergency Post for General Practitioners is available from Monday to Friday from 17:00-08:00. We are available 24 hours a day on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Always call us first<\/strong>
    Do you need urgent GP care? Then call us first. We will then ensure that you receive the care you need. Is there a life-threatening situation? Then always call the emergency number 112.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. The triage nurse will help you further<\/strong>
    If you call us, you will get a triage nurse on the line. He or she is specially trained to quickly determine how serious your symptoms are. The triage nurse works together with the general practitioner. There are three possibilities:

      \n
    1. You will receive advice by telephone: the triage nurse or general practitioner will give you an explanation that you can use to continue on your own.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. You will get an appointment at the GP Emergency Station with the GP or nurse<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. The GP will visit you. This only happens if you are too ill to come to the Emergency Post for General Practitioners.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Have your details ready<\/strong>
      Are you contacting the Emergency Post General Practitioners? Always have the following information at hand:

        \n
      • Your citizen service number (BSN)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • The details of your health insurance (policy number)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • The name of your GP<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • An overview of the medicines you are taking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
